The Ministry of Environment, Kano State, was established in 1999 to address growing environmental concerns, including waste management, deforestation, and climate change. Over the years, we have implemented impactful projects such as the Kano Greening Initiative and Solid Waste Management reforms.
• Over the last two decades, the ministry has:
o Reduced deforestation by 30%.
o Cleared 50 km of blocked drainage systems.
o Launched 3 major renewable energy initiatives.
